Packers QB Jordan Love returns to practice on limited basis for first time since injuring knee in Brazil

Jordan Love's anticipated time away might be shorter than initially expected.

After missing out on participating in Green Bay's Week 2 win over Indianapolis due to an MCL sprain suffered in Week 1, Love returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday, providing Packers fans with a positive sign he could be able to play in Week 3.

Asked what Love did at practice on Wednesday, head coach Matt LaFleur simply stated that Love was limited.

Love was originally expected to miss multiple weeks with the knee injury, throwing Green Bay's outlook into doubt after just one game, but coach Matt LaFleur inspired hope when speaking positively of Love's status last week as the quarterback received treatment on his affected knee.

Love landed on the injury report with a surprising questionable designation at the end of last week, but was downgraded prior to the Packers' home opener and spent it watching backup Malik Willis operate LaFleur's run-centric offense. Green Bay succeeded with this approach, dominating time of possession 40:11-19:49 and hanging on for the 16-10 win to move to 1-1 on the year.

The Packers' approach with Love in the lineup has been and will be much different than how they handled the Week 2 contest, but as they demonstrated against Indianapolis, they're versatile enough to adjust when necessary. If Love makes it through Wednesday's practice and the rest of the week without incident, they might not have to adjust much at all as they head to Nashville for a Week 3 date with the Titans.
