As the calendar suggests, Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens are just getting going.
Though the Ravens and the rest of the 撸先生AV are heading into Week 18 of the 2024 season, Jackson is of the mind that he and his team are only getting started
It's a mindset that bodes well for a Super Bowl contender on the verge of clinching the AFC North.
"It don't; It really don't," Jackson said on Tuesday -- New Year's Eve -- when asked if it felt as though the year was ending. "It feels like the season just getting started. But yeah, New Year's Eve, New Year's Eve."
Four days into the new year, Jackson and the Ravens will begin Week 18 with their regular-season finale when they face the visiting Cleveland Browns on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
Having already clinched their third straight trip to the playoffs, the Ravens can wrap up a second consecutive division title with a win. Then it's off to the playoffs, where Jackson and Co. will continue their elusive quest for a Super Bowl crown.
The work Jackson has already put in is MVP worthy. It's likely he'll win back-to-back MVP honors this season or it will go to Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Jackson's been remarkable through the air and on the ground.
He's completed 300 of 442 passes for 3,955 yards, a career-high 39 touchdown passes, a league-best 8.8 TD%, just four interceptions, a league-high 8.9 yards per attempt and an 撸先生AV-best 121.6 QB rating. He's also rushed for 852 yards and four touchdowns with a league-high 6.6 yards per carry.
Along the way, Jackson also became the league鈥檚 all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback.
He reached that milestone on Christmas Day during the Ravens鈥 31-2 dismantling of the Houston Texans.
It was an outstanding 2024 for Jackson and it's been a stellar season so far.
"There's a lot of memories from 2024," Jackson said. "I don't think I have a standout. I don't have a standout. It's been a lot of blessings. I can't complain. Great year."
A great year that he's hoping will lead to plenty more greatness ahead.
Asked for his New Year's resolution, Jackson smiled and didn't reveal it.
"I'm gonna try to keep it to myself," Jacksons said.
One can only guess that Jackson is resolute to capture a Lombardi Trophy.
