Chiefs WR Marquise Brown taken to hospital after suffering sternoclavicular joint dislocation vs. Jaguars

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint dislocation in Saturday's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and was at a local hospital being checked out, head coach Andy Reid said after the game.

Reid said he expected Brown to "potentially" miss some time.

Brown spent the night in the hospital and was released from the facility Sunday morning, 撸先生AV Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

Reid compared Brown's injury to the one Tyreek Hill suffered in the 2019 season, coincidentally also against the Jaguars. Hill missed four games with the similar injury in 2019.

"I think he'll miss some time. We'll just see where it's at, I mean, I said that they're kind of going through it right now and we'll know more later on," Reid said after the game, via team transcript.

Brown suffered the left shoulder injury on his first snap as a Chief. Patrick Mahomes hit Brown on a crossing route for an 11-yard catch, but he was driven to the turf by Jaguars cornerback Montaric Brown.

It would be Hollywood's only snap of the night. The Chiefs listed him as questionable to return, but Brown was replaced by rookie Xavier Worthy for the remainder of the first series and never reentered the game.

The Chiefs lost to the Jaguars, 26-13.
