Lucas Rosetti is a pioneer for American football in Brazil and a passionate Miami Dolphins fan who holds a love for the game of football like no other. Lucas has committed to growing the game of football in Brazil through coaching and education, while also being a passionate and positive voice in the Dolphins community. Lucas Rosetti exemplifies what it means to be an International Fan of the Year. In 2007, Lucas switched on the TV and watched the Miami Dolphins beat the Baltimore Ravens in overtime (that would be their only win that season) - from that moment forward, he decided that the Miami Dolphins were his team!
His journey began when he was just 16 years old, and a friend introduced him to flag football as he was playing in S茫o Paulo 鈥 at a time where Lucas had never even seen a football helmet. Without a coach for his own team, Lucas took it upon himself to study the game. Lucas used videos of Dan Marino to help teach himself QB techniques and different drills.
By the time he was 20, Lucas earned his first role as a head coach, and for the past 15 years, he has been coaching and teaching American football in Brazil. Throughout his career, Lucas has coached over a thousand players, helping grow the game at all levels. In an effort to create structured education for Brazilian football coaches, Lucas founded the Brazilian American Football Congress, where over 500 coaches have been trained in coaching. Lucas also served as the Director of Football Operations for the Brazilian Football league (Liga BFA), continuing to push forward for the development of American Football in Brazil.
Lucas's ultimate goal is to work in football in Brazil for the rest of his life, instilling passion and core football values in young athletes across the country. As a longtime Dolphins fan, Lucas wears his aqua and orange with pride. Despite having never seen the Fins play in person, his fandom for the team is undeniable. Lucas's passion and love for growing the game of football in Brazil makes him the perfect representation of the Miami Dolphins Organization.
