Stefan Schultz
Germany
Schultz, a law enforcement officer, started following the Colts in 2013 and traveled to the U.S. in 2019 to attend his first live Colts game in Nashville against the Tennessee Titans. In 2022, he became a board member of Germaniapolis Blue Nation, one of the Colts fan clubs in Germany. In this role, he regularly plans club meetings and watch parties, manages the fan club's Instagram account and co-hosts a Colts podcast. He also was part of the organizing team for the fan club at the 2023 Frankfurt Game, where the Colts defeated the New England Patriots. In the 2024 season, he organized two club trips to attend Colts games stateside.
"I simply live for the Colts, and I am doing everything I can to make the Colts more well-known in Germany," Schultz said. "In fact, in Frankfurt I was one of those who tried to get tickets for the game at 6 a.m. so that even more Colts fans could be there to root on the guys. My passion for the Indianapolis Colts began in the 2013 season when Andrew Luck and Bj枚rn Werner played for the team. Luck immediately impressed me with his likable personality, great charisma, and outstanding skills as a quarterback. The presence of Bj枚rn Werner, a German player, created an immediate connection to the team. Over the years, I've experienced numerous unforgettable moments as a Colts fan. A particularly amusing experience was the 2024 draft announcement in Cologne, when the mascot Blue threw a pie in my face. The Frankfurt game was undoubtedly a major highlight of my fan career. Visiting the Colts House, the opportunity to meet Jim Irsay in person, and the victory on German soil made this event unforgettable. In addition, it was a special honor to interview Adetomiwa Adebawore for our podcast "For the Shoe." As an active board member of the Colts Fan Club "Germaniapolis Blue Nation," I have contributed to growing the community in Germany. A highlight was the Colts Fan Club trip to the USA in 2024, where we attended games in New York against the Jets and in Indianapolis against the Lions. Tailgating with other Colts fans was a heartwarming experience that demonstrated the openness and friendliness of the fan community.
